A Responsibility to Our Environment

Our company firmly believes that we all have a responsibility to our planet and the next generation.  We are proud that our business is consistent with Reduce/Reuse/Recycle, and strive to continue to reduce our impact on the environment.

Keeping waste out of landfills

Getting more life from your current UPS allows you to protect your data without adding waste in our landfills.  Rest assured that we responsibly recycle all used batteries and other harmful e-waste through our partnership with Arundel Recycling Center.

In our offices, we are very aware of the effect our everyday activities have on our environment.  We optimize our use of technology and limit printing to lessen our footprint.  When we do use paper, it’s recycled along with aluminum, plastic and glass though our friends at BFI Waste Systems.

Energy efficiency

In 2010, we invested $25,000 to install high-efficiency lighting throughout both our offices and factories. These lights are approximately five times more energy efficient than a standard light bulb, which greatly reduces the production of greenhouse gases and other pollutants.  We also installed energy efficient appliances in our break room, and upgraded to an energy efficient water cooler.

Reducing our footprint outside of the workplace

Our employees are invested in both the company’s green initiatives and in reducing their own carbon footprint.  Over half of our employees use public transportation, while most others own fuel-efficient vehicles.
